Meet Susanna

My name is Susanna, I live in Utrecht and I have been delighted to be working for the Babel Language Institute since September 2023. Why do I teach? Because of my passion for languages, my interest in other cultures and the immense satisfaction I get from helping other people. With great dedication and patience, I work with each student to identify what they need and what motivates them. I use humour to put students at ease and give them the space to express themselves in the language they’re learning. I teach the language to students in various creative ways, taking their learning style and interests into account. After all, you don’t have to learn a language solely from a book; you can also learn through songs, videos, websites and conversations about topics that interest you.

Before joining Babel, I also worked as a teacher in Amsterdam. I regularly go on holiday to England to enjoy lovely walks or visit family. I also travel regularly to Italy, where I have family living there too. I love being surrounded once again by the languages I find so beautiful when I’m in those countries.
