About Chinese 3

In this course, you will work on expanding your Chinese communication skills.

  • You will be introduced to common sentence patterns of the Chinese language.
  • You will expand your vocabulary and learn to recognise more Chinese characters.
  • In one of the meetings, you will give a simple oral presentation during which you will receive individual feedback from the teacher and your fellow students.

This language course works towards the first level of the HSK exam. This stands for Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi and is an international language standard for people whose second language is Chinese. It allows you to demonstrate that you have a basic knowledge of Chinese, for example when applying for a job or training.

This course follows on Chinese level 2, but can also be taken separately if you have A1 level. Not sure what your language level is? Then take our free placement test.

Learning goals

After completing this Chinese course you will:

  • speak Chinese in public more confidently.
  • know what to expect on the HSK exam.
  • be ready for the follow-up course Chinese level 4.
