About Korean level 2

This course complements Korean level 1 and will further prepare you to interact with Koreans, whether you are going to Korea on holiday, for your studies or for business purposes.

During this course you will learn:

  • basic grammar, verb forms and different levels of speech so that you will be able to have a conversation at a more advanced level.
  • what is culturally appropriate in different situations. Because language and culture are closely related, you will not only focus on the linguistic aspects of the Korean language but also on the Korean culture.

Learning goals

In the Korean level 2 course you will work towards language level A1. The course is suitable if you have completed the Korean level 1 course or if you have attained level A1 through other means.

After completing the course you will be able to:

  • ask about destination and purpose.
  • use different verb forms.
  • conjugate verbs and apply basic grammar.
  • give detailed directions.

  • We use the textbook and workbook of ‘Integrated Korean Beginning 1 third edition’ as teaching method. We expect you to bring the book of this method to the first meeting so that we can make a good start. You can order the book for this course via our special book page.
  • During the lesson there will be listening, speaking and writing exercises. The teacher will explain the vocabulary and grammar and give extra examples. Some exercises will be done individually or in groups.
