In this Spanish course, you will take your language level from B1 to B2. You will improve your listening and speaking skills and take the next step in your knowledge of Spanish.
About the course Spanish Advanced
Would you like to express yourself more easily in Spanish and keep up well in longer conversations? In this course, you’ll continue to build your language skills, so that you can share your opinions and respond to others with greater ease. By practising real-life situations with your fellow students, you’ll gain confidence and enjoy using Spanish even more.
In 9 Spanish lessons:
- you will give increasingly professional advice, instructions and tasks in Spanish;
- you will understand and discuss the main points of conversations about work, leisure and current affairs;
- you will find it easier to talk about politics, society and the news;
- you will be able to tell a story and give your opinion on a film or book;
- you will participate more spontaneous in conversations about familiar everyday and professional topics;
- you will speak and listen with greater confidence.
In the Spanish Advanced course, you will work towards language level B2. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to take part in conversations in Spanish with confidence and express yourself more easily. After this course, you can continue with the Mastering Spanish (B2+) course.

Who is it for?
This course is for anyone who wants to improve their knowledge of Spanish and use the language with greater ease. The course follows on from our Spanish Level 6 course, but can also be taken as a stand-alone course if you have a command of Spanish at B1 level or above. During the course you will work actively and independently on your learning goals, both in class and during self-study.

Method
Our teaching method combines a structured approach with hands-on working methods. The lessons are active, personal, varied and practical. There is always attention for your pace and learning style. Curious about how we design the course?
Approach
You work alternately in pairs, small groups and classrooms. You will practice intensively with conversations on familiar and current topics, such as travel, tourism and the Spanish media. We also read and discuss Spanish literature and poetry. In the classes you will speak Spanish as much as possible, so you will make faster progress and build more self-confidence.
Teaching Materials
You will work with the book Aula Internacional 3, a widely used method for learning Spanish. During the course, the book will be supplemented with additional assignments and exercises. For self-study you will receive teaching materials and assignments, which will be discussed during the meetings. Before the start of the course we will inform you how you can easily order the teaching materials, so that you can start your lessons well prepared.
Teachers
You will be taught by an experienced teacher who is attentive to your learning goals and development. You will receive targeted feedback on your language use, pronunciation and communication. The teacher guides you step by step and provides a safe learning environment in which you practice a lot and visibly grow.
Certificate of Participation
You will receive a certificate of participation from us if you have actively participated in at least 80% of the meetings.
