About Italian 2

This course is suitable if you have completed Italian level 1 or if you have achieved language level A1– through other means. For example by successfully completing the teaching methods Allegro 1 (up to chapter 6) or Con Piacere 1 (up to chapter 3). Not sure what your language level is? Then take our free placement test.

You will learn some new irregular verbs, practise using prepositions and expand your vocabulary.

In terms of reading skills, you will practise with texts that are of a slightly higher level than in the first course. You will also practise looking up specific information in, for example, advertising brochures or advertisements. When improving your writing skills, you work mainly on expanding your vocabulary and your knowledge of grammar rules.

Besides reading and writing, the emphasis is on your communication skills and pronunciation. You learn to speak more confidently in Italian so that you can speak more convincingly and convey your meaning clearly. You will also learn how to quickly interpret the answers you receive.
