Did you earn your medical degree outside the Netherlands and do you want to work in healthcare? To work in the healthcare sector, you must be registered in the BIG Register. Freestanding exams and assesments for medics
Have you already reached the required language proficiency level? If so, you can take a standalone exam. Professionals with an MBO or HBO degree can take the NT2 State Exam. For medical professionals, we offer assesments that allow you to obtain a B2+ language certificate for the BIG Register.

Do you want to go into the language test well-prepared and with confidence? With the Course Dutch B2+ for medical professions, you’ll focus specifically on the language you use every day at work. The assessment is included in the course.
English reading test
For candidates outside the EEA, an English reading comprehension test is required in addition to a language certificate. Below, you can register for the test at the A2, B1, or B2 level. You’ll also find information about the test format and sample exams, so you’ll know what to expect.

The English reading test:
- consists of 5 to 6 general English passages with approximately 20 to 30 multiple-choice questions.
- takes 40 to 50 minutes, depending on the version.
- includes passages on general topics unrelated to healthcare.
