In this course you will be prepared for the State exam NT2 programme II.
During the lockdown, all our on-site courses will be taught in the virtual classroom. As soon as it is possible, we will switch back to teaching on location. About the Preparation course State Exam NT2 II course
This Preparation course State Exam NT2 II course is aimed to those who wish to achieve level B2+ in a short period of time.
Initial language requirements are:
- Certificate advanced Dutch (B2)
- Placement test with level B2/C1 advice.
The course is scheduled to take place two days a week for eight weeks at our institute in Utrecht. Participants will practice with mock exams and exercises.
Duo loan?
Are you entitled to a loan from the DUO (Educational Administration Service) to help pay for your Dutch course? And this is your first course at Babel? Learning goals
This Preparation course State Exam NT2 II course is aimed to those who wish to achieve level B2+ in a short period of time.
Initial language requirements are:
- Certificate advanced Dutch (B2)
- Placement test with level B2/C1 advice.
Upon completing the course, the participants will know how to approach the different exam sections. They will be able to apply exam strategies and work under time pressure. In the reading and listening sections, they will be able to understand popular scientific journals and formal letters/information. In the writing and speaking components they will be able to give adequate and correct responses, and produce long texts.
Method
Through mock exams and additional exercises you will get familiar with the different exam sections. You will practice how to complete sentences, write texts, give short responses, hold two-minute conversations, and answer multiple choice questions. For all these sections you will receive advice about exam strategies and feedback about your results.

Time Investment
This Preparation course State Exam NT2 II consists of 8 sessions at Babel in Utrecht. The advised self-study load is 3 to 4 hours per class.
Practical
- This course is offered on-site as a face-to-face class in a small group. You can find an overview of all the measures we have taken against the coronavirus here.
- The language of instruction is Dutch.

- During the course you will practice with mock exams and exercises. For the real State exam NT2 programme II you will have to apply at www.hetcvte.nl (choose Onderwerpen, then Staatsexamen NT2 and then Aanmelden).
- If you work or study at Utrecht University you will receive a 15% discount. Please register with your UU email address. Your registration will then be processed automatically.
