With this course you focus on speaking at a high level in English. You will refine your pronunciation and learn to speak with nuance and conviction. You will work toward level C1 during the course.
About English Speaking Advanced
Do you work or study in English and want to speak more clearly, with greater nuance, and more persuasively? In this Advanced English Speaking Course, you’ll work specifically on your speaking skills for work, study, and your personal life. Using familiar, everyday topics, you’ll practice skills such as expressing your opinion, telling a story, and exchanging and summarizing information. The focus is on active speaking in challenging situations. You’ll improve your pronunciation, expand your vocabulary, and learn to consciously use subtle differences in meaning.
In 9 English speaking lessons:
- Distinguish between synonyms in formal and informal language.
- you’ll speak more fluently at work and in your studies.
- you’ll learn how to use metaphors and idioms correctly.
- You back up your opinion with conviction.
- you will learn to deal with the intercultural aspects of language.
- you can use humor in an appropriate way.
In this course, you will work toward achieving a C1 language level. In addition, by the end of the course, you will be able to participate with greater confidence in complex conversations, discussions, and presentations in English. You will express yourself clearly, respond to your conversation partner, and add nuance where necessary. After completing this course, you can continue with the English Speaking Proficiency Course (C1 → C2).

Approach
You work alternately in pairs, small groups and classrooms. So you practice intensively with situations you encounter in your everyday life, such as asking something in a restaurant and telling a story to family or colleagues. In the lessons you speak English as much as possible, so you make faster progress and build up confidence.
Teaching Materials
You work with the book “English Vocabulary in Use (Upper-intermediate),” supplemented by additional worksheets and videos. The material connects to practical themes and helps you to apply the language directly in your own life. This way you learn not only the rules, but especially what works in practice. Before the start of the course, we will inform you how you can easily order the learning materials so that you can start your lesson well prepared.
Teachers
You will be taught by an experienced teacher who has an eye for your learning goals and development points. You will regularly receive targeted feedback on your language use, pronunciation and communication. The teacher guides you step by step through the material and provides a safe learning environment in which you dare to practice and visibly grow.
Certificate of Participation
You will receive a certificate of participation from us if you have actively participated in at least 80% of the meetings.
