About the Spanish 4 course

Would you like to improve your Spanish and feel more confident in conversations? Spanish Course 4 focuses on your listening and speaking skills in familiar situations. You’ll practice with topics such as leisure and activities, health, and eating habits. The course helps you communicate more independently and feel more at home in a Spanish-speaking environment.

In 9 Spanish lessons:

  • you’ll be able to talk more fluently about leisure time, travel, and places;
  • you talk about eating habits and dishes;
  • share information about your health;
  • Describe your past activities;
  • you discuss your resolutions and plans.

In this course, you will work toward language level A2. By the end of the course, you will be able to talk with greater confidence about everyday topics such as travel, activities, eating habits, and health. You will also understand conversations better and be able to express your ideas more clearly. After completing this course, you can move on to Spanish Course 5 (A2 → A2+).

Method

Our teaching method combines a structured approach with hands-on working methods. The lessons are active, personal, varied and practical. There is always attention for your learning style, pace and level. Curious about how we design this course?

Approach

You work alternately in pairs, small groups and classrooms. You will practice intensively with everyday situations, such as talking about travel, leisure and health. During the lessons you will speak Spanish as much as possible, so you will progress faster and gain more confidence.

Teaching Materials

You will work with the book Aula Internacional 2, a widely used method for learning Spanish. During the course, the book will be supplemented with additional assignments and exercises. For self-study you will receive teaching materials and assignments, which will be discussed during the meetings. Before the start of the course we will inform you how you can easily order the teaching materials, so that you can start your lessons well prepared.

Teachers

You will be taught by an experienced teacher who will guide you in developing your speaking and listening skills. You will receive targeted feedback on pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar, so that step by step you speak Spanish more confidently.

Certificate of Participation

You will receive a certificate of participation from us if you have actively participated in at least 80% of the meetings.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which Spanish language level suits me?

To make sure you enrol at the right level, you can take our free placement test. This test will help you assess your current level of Spanish. Once you’ve completed it, the test will be marked by one of our experienced teachers, who will provide you with personalised feedback. That way, you’ll know exactly which level suits you best.

Can I make up a missed Spanish class?

Unfortunately, in group courses it is not possible to make up a missed lesson, because the lessons take place at fixed times for the whole group. Through the lesson materials, homework and lesson plan in MyBabel, you can work through the missed material independently so that you can continue to follow the course well.

Can I pay for my Spanish course in installments?

You pay the course fee in a single payment. You can do this upon registration via iDEAL, credit card, or by having your employer pay the invoice.

Can I take the DELE exam?

Do you want to live, work or study in Spain? After the Spanish 2 or 3 course, you can take the DELE exam at A1 level, depending on your language level. The DELE exam is an official, internationally recognized diploma from the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. You will take the exam itself at a recognized exam institute. Our teachers can advise you about your language level, how to prepare and at which institute to register.

What are the advantages of a group language course?

A group language course offers the opportunity to learn and practice with others. You benefit from interactive lessons, learn from the questions and experiences of fellow students, and have plenty of opportunity to use the language actively. In addition, the group dynamic often provides extra motivation and a pleasant learning environment.

What is a virtual classroom?

A virtual classroom is a live online language course in which you take lessons together with a teacher and other students. You participate via Zoom or Teams, for example, and actively practice during the lesson. This combines the interaction of a group lesson with the convenience of online learning. Many students choose this form because of its flexibility.
