English Proficiency (C1 → C2)
This course will help you perfect your English to the level of a native speaker. You will learn to speak more convincingly, even in highly formal settings. You will work towards achieving level C2.
About the course English Proficiency
Do you work in English on a regular basis or have you completed an English-language degree? But do you sometimes lack the ability to use English more persuasively and creatively, or to write and speak in (highly) formal settings? In this course, you’ll refine your language skills and learn to express yourself even more powerfully. You’ll learn how to add nuance and play with the language. This will help you make a bigger impact in academic and professional settings and get more satisfaction from using English at a high level.
In 18 English lessons:
- speak with the confidence of a native speaker.
- express yourself at a high level in formal contexts.
- eliminate the last few grammatical errors from your emails.
- be able to recognise and apply nuance in difficult situations.
- increase your command of complex language structures.
- learn to use the language more creatively.
In this course, you will work towards language level C2. Upon completion, you will communicate with great precision, flexibility and persuasiveness in complex situations. You will use English more creatively, naturally and effectively. If you have actively participated in at least 80% of the sessions, you will receive a certificate of attendance from us. After completing this course, you can also sit the Cambridge Proficiency exam if your aim is to obtain an internationally recognised certificate proving that you have reached C2 level.

Approach
You’ll practise extensively in pairs, small groups and as a class. You’ll work with real-life situations, so you can use English straight away in conversations that are relevant to you. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to speak, make mistakes and learn from them in a safe environment. You’ll also be encouraged to learn outside the classroom.
Course materials
You will work with the ‘English file 4th edition advanced plus; student’s book with online practice’ textbook, supplemented by online exercises, homework and a pronunciation app. The materials help you to work on grammar, vocabulary, listening and speaking in a practical way. You can also download a special Pronunciation App to use during the course.
Teachers
You will be taught by an experienced teacher who is attentive to your learning goals and areas for development. You will receive regular, targeted feedback on your language use, pronunciation and communication. The teacher responds to the needs of the group and ensures a safe, motivating learning environment in which you can progress step by step.
Certificate of Participation
You will receive a certificate of attendance from us if you have actively participated in at least 80 per cent of the sessions.
