Approach
In the Arabic 3 course, the teacher guides you step by step through the lesson content from the book ‘Yalla Yalla! – part 2’. The teacher provides a safe learning environment in which you dare to practice, in class, in groups or individually. The course focuses on speaking, but you also work on listening, reading and writing. This way you not only develop your language skills, but also the confidence to really use the language.
During the meetings we address the questions you have as a result of the self-study. Then we briefly repeat the words and grammar from the previous lesson, after which we start the new exercises in class, individually or in groups. When working with other students, the emphasis is on speaking and conversation skills.
Teaching Materials
You will work with the book “Yalla Yalla! – part 2′. This is an accessible Dutch-language method that, in addition to language, also pays attention to culture, music, poetry and customs in Arabic-speaking countries. So you learn not only what you say, but also when and why. For self-study, you will receive assignments and teaching materials that will help you to continue practicing at home and reinforce your own learning. Before the start of the course we will inform you how you can easily order the teaching materials so that you can start your lesson well prepared.
Teachers
The course is taught by a very enthusiastic teacher, with a very big heart for the Arabic language and culture. She was born and raised in Syria and has been working as a teacher in the Netherlands for many years. She loves to share her love for Arabic with her students.
