Have you followed Portuguese level 2? Or do you already have knowledge of Portuguese and do you want to take your language skills to the next level? In Portuguese level 3, you will work towards language level A1+.
About this course
In Portuguese level 3, you will work towards language level A1+.
During the course, you will learn to:
- read a map and describe a city.
- talk about past events.
- put forward an argument.
- talk about festivals and traditions.
This course follows on Portuguese level 2, but can also be taken separately if you have A1 level. Not sure what your language level is? Then take our free placement test.
Learning goals
In Portuguese level 3 course, you will work towards language level A1+.
After completing this course you are:
- able to express yourself with some nuance in simple situations.
- able to describe past actions.
- more confident when speaking to native Portuguese speakers.
- ready for the Portuguese level 4 course.
Method
- As a teaching method, we use the book ‘Português em Foco 1’. We work in this course with the textbook and workbook with CD.
- The teacher also uses own teaching material in handouts. Music is also used, as well as role-plays and simulations.
Time investment
- Portuguese 3 consists of 9 sessions of 1,5 hours at Babel in Utrecht or in the virtual classroom.
- To ensure that you can benefit the most from the classes, you should expect to spend approximately 2 to 3 hours per week on study and the completion of materials and assignments, which will be discussed during the classes.
Practical
- The teacher will speak Portuguese as much as possible. Participants can ask questions in Portuguese or in Dutch.
- You can order the necessary books for this course via our website’s Order Books page. You should make sure to have the book before the start of the first lesson.
- You will receive a certificate if you attend at least 8 of the 9 classes.
