Did you know that over 25 million presentations are given every day? How can you make yours more effective? Getting the message across and keeping the audience involved requires specific skills and techniques. Practise and improve these in this training.

About the Presenting in English course
You will enrich your language to communicate effectively and work on making your own presentations stand out from the 25 million others.
The course will focus on various aspects of giving a presentation: opening, closing, signposting the organisation, referring to visuals, handling questions, adopting the right body language, involving the audience. We will also look at useful language for the different aspects of a presentation in English.
Course contents are adaptable to your needs.
This Presenting in English course is aimed to those who wish to achieve level B2+ in a short period of time.
This short course offers you an opportunity to strengthen your language and presentation skills. It enables you to practise two English-medium presentations; to receive feedback on your performances; and to observe the performances of other participants.
Each participant gives two 15-minute presentations. There are two presentation sessions per meeting. For each of these sessions a chairperson may be appointed. You will receive feedback on your performances from the group and the trainer.
This Presenting in English course consists of 2 days of class at Babel in Utrecht. The advised self-study load is approximately 3 hours per meeting.
- The language of instruction is English.
- Each participant gives two 15-minute presentations. There are two presentation sessions per meeting. For each of these sessions a chairperson may be appointed. You will receive feedback on your performances from the group and the trainer.
- Active participation is preferred during the course meetings and ample time for self-study, preferably spread out evenly over the week. You will receive a certificate of participation if you attend both meetings and give two 15-minute presentations.
- If you work or study at Utrecht University you will receive a 15% discount. Please register with your UU email address. Your registration will then be processed automatically.
